Trade businesses find subcontractors who are actually free on the days they need them. Subcontractors turn empty days in the diary into booked work. We’re starting in Perth.

Your spare days are someone else’s deadline.

Subcontractors share when they’re free. Businesses post what they need. SubHub lines the two up, and both sides confirm before anything is booked.

If you’re a subcontractor

  1. Mark the days you’re free

Set full or half days, repeat a weekly pattern, and flag days you might be able to do as tentative.

  2. See work that fits

Jobs are ranked by your trade, dates, area and rate, and every ranking comes with its reasons.

  3. Apply, or accept an invite

Message the business and agree the details. When they offer you a booking, confirm it and those days block themselves out of your calendar.

If you run a trade business

  1. Post the job

Trade, dates, suburb, scope and rate. The exact site address stays private until you choose to share it.

  2. Find who’s free

Search subcontractors by trade and date. People who are available on those days come first.

  3. Invite, agree, book

Invite your best matches or review applications, settle the details in messages, then offer the booking. It is confirmed when they say yes.

A diary that keeps itself straight.

The availability calendar is the heart of SubHub. Mark the days you can work and businesses can search by date. When both sides confirm a booking, those days are blocked automatically.

Full or half days
Mornings and afternoons are separate, for the jobs that don’t need a whole day.
Weekly patterns
Set Monday to Thursday once instead of tapping every date.
Tentative days
Hold a day you might be able to do. It shows as tentative, never as a promise.
No double-booking
A day part can only be confirmed for one booking at a time.

Example subcontractor

Flooring installer, hybrid and laminate

Strong match 90/100

Free on both days the job needs, lists flooring as their main trade and hybrid flooring as a specialisation, works about 12 km from the job (inside the area they travel to) and the job pays at least their day rate.

ABN checked by a SubHub administrator. Insurance document supplied, not yet verified. New to SubHub, so no reviews yet.

Example match. The scoring rules are published and the same for everyone.

Matches that show their working.

Each match is scored out of 100 from seven plain rules: trade and specialisation, availability, distance, experience, rate, credentials and track record.

You see the points for every rule and a sentence of reasons, so you can overrule the score with your own judgement. There’s no hidden ranking.

“Verified” only counts if someone checked.

ABN, insurance and licence each have their own status. A profile says supplied when a member has entered a number or uploaded a document. It only says verified after a SubHub admin has reviewed it.

SubHub is a marketplace. It isn’t a licensing body or anyone’s employer, so keep doing your own checks before you engage someone.
